At Covey Rise, we strive to provide restaurant-quality meals that go beyond just sustenance for hunters. Our chef prepares each course to enhance the Covey Rise experience, and whether you are here during our normal hunting season or for a private event, you'll receive a carefully thought out and lovingly prepared meal. We source our vegetables from adjacent Covey Rise Farms, a 70-acre sustainable agriculture operation that provides produce for the finest of New Orleans’ restaurants. Our chefs take full advantage of this fact and harvest fresh produce daily so that “field to table” is not just an expression, but the basis of dining at Covey Rise.
Hunting Season Menu
During our normal hunting season from October to April, hunters are treated to a choice of a selection of meats and seasonal vegetables locally sourced from Covey Rise Farm. All meals include 4 courses: appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert. If you would like to hear about the current hunting season menu please contact us.
Field to Table Events
Covey Rise offers field to table events for private bookings. These events include a tour of Covey Rise Farms along with dinner, overnight accommodations and breakfast the next morning. A minimum of 6 people is required to reserve the Lodge for one of these events. These events are scheduled from May – August. Contact us to customize a special event with additional activities.
Meet the Chef
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Chef Marc Lyons brings a lifetime of culinary passion to every dish he creates. While many the world over are drawn to Louisiana for our exceptional cuisine, that rich tradition served as a stepping stone for Marc to explore what he knew at an early age was his calling: the pledge to master the techniques that allow truly great chefs to bring out the best in exceptional product and to deliver on that promise to every patron.
