Youth Camps

The goal of our Summer Youth Camps is to provide a solid foundation of skills that will result in a lifetime of enjoying outdoor sporting activities. We provide the facilities and professional instruction for basic hunting and camping skills in an environment that promotes not only education and safety, but fun as well.

In addition to several hundred acres of pristine woodlands with nature trails and a running creek, facilities include skeet and rifle range and a swimming pool. A fifteen-acre lake is completely stocked with fish.

Supervision will be provided by a full-time around the clock staff from enrollment to dismissal. Each camper is informed of the camp’s rules, regulations, and responsibilities. There will be one counselor for every five campers. Campers will be housed in the lodge. Each bedroom contains three beds and has a private bath. Covey Rise outdoor camp is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings, and each camper will be responsible for any damages to his room.

As always, safety is of utmost importance and will be reinforced with all of the campers’ activities.

Enrollment is limited to fifteen (15) campers per session. Covey Rise is approximately one hour from New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA.
